Journey class
The journeys measured in nights rather than hours: transcontinental crossings, plateau climbs and multi-day itineraries, grouped by where they run.
A long-distance journey is a different product from a day trip. The decisions are about berths, meals, luggage and how many nights you are prepared to spend on board, not about which side of the train has the view.
This page reads the catalogue's epic class: journeys published as a single continuous run of exceptional length or ambition. Whether a given service is actually overnight is recorded per journey from the operator's own timetable, and stays unknown where that evidence is missing.
