The train carries an observation car, a bar and a three-course menu, and crosses the high pass at La Raya on the way. PeruRail markets it explicitly as the day counterpart to its overnight Andean Explorer.

The operator describes wide windows, Andean snacks, ambient music and a staged telling of the Ollantay Inca love story on the outbound run, and says the train makes several trips each day. Travellers starting in Cusco are routed to Ollantaytambo on Inca Rail's separate bimodal road-and-rail product rather than a through train.
