This is a daytime scenic service rather than a sleeper, so the ride reads more like moving through a viewpoint than getting from A to B. Celta: Porto to Vigo
The Celta is the international service linking Porto-Campanhã with Vigo-Guixar, calling at Nine, Viana do Castelo and Valença. CP's current timetable, in force since 14 December 2025, shows two departures a day in each direction; the morning train leaves Porto-Campanhã at 08:10 and reaches Vigo-Guixar at 11:44 local Spanish time, about two and a half hours' actual running.

Comboio Histórico do Vouga: Aveiro to Macinhata do Vouga
The Comboio Histórico do Vouga is CP's summer heritage working on the Linha do Vouga, the only narrow-gauge line still carrying passengers in Portugal. Early-twentieth-century wooden carriages are hauled from Aveiro up the valley through Sernada do Vouga to Macinhata do Vouga, where the national railway museum keeps its Vouga collection, with a cultural stop at Águeda on the return. CP ran the 2026 edition on nine Saturdays between 4 July and 29 August.

Alfa Pendular: Lisbon to Porto and Braga
The Alfa Pendular is CP's tilting long-distance service, introduced in 1999 with Fiat Ferroviaria-built series 4000 sets rated at 220 km/h, running from Lisbon Santa Apolónia along the Linha do Norte to Porto Campanhã and on to Braga. CP's own fare table for the Lisbon–Braga relation took effect on 1 January 2026. Seats are reserved in Conforto and Turística classes and there is a café-bar car.
