Achenseebahn: Jenbach to Seespitz
The Achenseebahn is a metre-gauge rack and adhesion steam railway opened in 1889, climbing 6.76 kilometres and some 440 metres from Jenbach in the Tyrolean Inn valley to Seespitz on the Achensee. After the former operator's insolvency in 2020 it passed to a new company, and its federal concession has been extended to 2034. Its 2026 season runs from roughly May to late October.

České dráhy runs direct railjet and ComfortJet trains between Prague, Brno and Vienna at a two-hour interval throughout the day, and direct Vienna trains also from Pardubice. ČD states Prague to Vienna runs twelve times a day, with seven further direct Vienna services from Ostrava, Přerov and Břeclav, and quotes Prague–Vienna fares from 459 CZK / 18.50 EUR. The corridor runs down the Bohemian plain through Pardubice and Česká Třebová to Brno, then across the Moravian border at Břeclav.
